This historic image captures the original rented bungalow in Byculla (located at 2nd Victoria Cross Lane, behind Rani Baug) where the National Medical College began its journey on September 4, 1921.

​Characterized by its grand colonial architecture this building served as the cradle for both Topiwala National Medical College and what would eventually become the Nair Hospital Dental College (NHDC).
